2014-15 Booster Club Officers
The Hempfield Band Booster Club is announcing the Financial Assistance for Band Students (FABS) Fund. This fund is being created to specifically address situations where member families cannot meet the full financial obligations of band membership. We ask that our band Families, Alumni, and Friends consider donating any amount possible to make the rewards of Hempfield Band Membership available for all!
To learn more about the FABS program or to make a donation, please visit the FABS page on our website!
What is Fair Share?
To support the programs under the Hempfield Bands umbrella, the Hempfield Band Booster Club will run on an operating budget of over $70,000 in 2013! This budget includes: show design (props, flags, drill, uniforms, etc.), instructional staff, special events, and more!

Nominations can still be taken from the floor that evening, as long as the nominee is present and agrees to be on the ballot. To nominate someone (including yourself), contact Karen Hess at email@example.com
2. Review Revised Guidelines - we will take time to review and discuss the revised Organizational Guidelines which will include a Ways & Means Director. The draft will be distributed no later than the weekend before the scheduled meeting.
The mission of the Hempfield Band Booster Club is captured by "Supporting a Tradition of Excellence". Our students have done their part by working hard and striving for excellence throughout the entire season and they certainly reaped the rewards of these efforts last night with an amazing performance. As we have fundraised throughout this season through Friday Night Concessions, the Car Wash, Rita's, Isaac's Knights Out and most importantly the Opening Knight Band Festival, we have been able to generate funds to assist in supporting HMK. Examples of this assistance includes the purchase of guard uniforms, fabric for flags, stipends for Caption Heads and other staff, coach buses for the students to the USBands National Competition, as well as celebrations for students---Halloween Party, Fun Knight, Tailgate and Banquet. This is not a comprehensive list by any means. Another integral part of the success of this organization are the hours that have been invested through the volunteerism of so many members of the Hempfield Band Booster Club---through the donation of time and needed supplies. THANK YOU! I cannot think of a better organization in which to be involved where we work very hard, with a great group of people who have so many talents.
Let's celebrate together tomorrow evening, November 12 between the hours of 5:00-9:00 @ Isaac's. Just print the flyer and bring it with you so proceeds can be applied towards the Hempfield Band Booster Club. This is late notice, so please share with family & friends. Even though the marching season has come to a close, the Band Booster Club will continue to support the indoor endeavors of the guard and percussion, and eventually Jazz Band in the spring. These units continue to grow our students' skills and talents for the next HMK season too!
See you tomorrow night!
Plan to stop by or order take out from Isaac's on Monday
Print the attached flyer so all proceeds can benefit the Hempfield Marching Knights!
See you there.
Gear up with some more red & black to show your support for Hempfield Marching Knights!
We will be placing an additional order for HMK Spirit Wear this week. Please fill out the order form below and submit with payment by the end of the day Thursday, October 11. If you need to make special arrangements, please contact Lynne Ciepiela. Her contact info can be found on the order form.
**Note: This order will not include show shirts. Sorry!
Tonight's the night to sit back, relax and let someone else prepare your dinner. The timing is perfect after working so hard to make Opening Knight a success! Bring a printed copy of the attachment to indicate that a portion of your bill (whether you are eating at the restaurant or ordering take-out) should be applied to Hempfield Band Booster Club.
Let's fill the restaurant with HMK Friends & Family!

What is the Catch?
The catch (if you could call it that) is that families need to plan ahead a little and do their normal shopping with gift cards. That being said, many families who have been involved with Scrip like how it can help keep a family on a budget!

Your support will be greatly appreciated Monday evening between 5:00 and 9:00. Please plan to have dinner at the Centerville Isaac's and present the attached flyer. A portion of your bill will be donated to Hempfield Marching Knights.
Have plans for May 17? Consider attending Isaac's Knight Out sponsored by the Hempfield Band Boosters! Just print the flyer listed below in order for the organization to receive the proceeds generated. Please take a moment to post this announcement on Facebook and/or forward this message to family, friends and neighbors. Print copies are also a great way to spread the news to people that you meet in passing. Maybe you (or your student!) could ask a local business if they could leave several copies behind for patrons/clients to pick up. All proceeds will benefit the students that participate in band and guard so that we can once again have awesome performances! Great things are in store....
